Electives for trainees with Work Permits from Other Canadian Universities:
Trainees enrolled at other Canadian universities, whose work permits are tied to those institutions, may come to ºÚÁÏÉç based on the conditions of their existing closed work permits. However, please note that if the work permit specifies a particular location (e.g., Vancouver) as the place of employment, they will not be authorized to do the elective at ºÚÁÏÉç due to this restriction. In such cases, PGME will need to facilitate a work permit specific to ºÚÁÏÉç for the student.
The same applies to trainees holding an open work permit. If their work permit includes restrictions on the province of employment or medical field employment (e.g., for candidates who have not passed a medical exam), these restrictions must be removed before the trainee can work at a ºÚÁÏÉç Hospital network
